Travel is love

This is my very first blog ever, so I doubt it will be very long or well written but I'd love to share my thoughts with people who want to read them.

I'm a 23 year old from Leeds, in the north east of England and a very proud Brit (dispite our appauling efforts at the world cup this year)
Ever since I can remember I have always dreamt of travelling and living in as many different countries as I could.
My sisters Keturah 37, Lucy 24, and Tizzy 20 have always had a different out look on life. They're focused on careers, mortgages, weddings and starting families. A life of adventure and unorganised unco-ordinated fun, with little care of long term careers and commitment seem a world away from them. But that world is essentially my home.

I believe travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness. And to quote St Augustine
"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page."

I'm not going to lie and tell you I've been all over the world and seen the far east and travelled though the Andes. But I have travelled. Australia, Canada, America and parts of Europe have all been destinations of mine, and many I travelled alone.

It taught me I had the ability to achieve great things. If I could jump on a plane and go some where completely new, look after myself and have the confidence to meet new people and make new friends, if I could humble myself enough to admit there are bigger better and more amazing things in this world, I could open my mind up to do anything.
I hate to limit myself or keep myself captive by settling down. I'd hate to commit to careers that tie me to one place and strip me of my individual flair and yearning to be taught great things by our amazing planet.

That's why i'm moving to Melbourne, Australia in just over 3 weeks!!!!

My future blogs will an incite into how I'm coping with the big move, and it's ups and downs! So stay tuned
